The National Museum of African American Music Presents The Redemption of A Delta Bluesman: Robert Johnson by Artist Andre LeMoyne Miller, Gallery Albertine Exhibit Opening & Gallery Talk Thursday, November 5, 2026 | 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM The Dr. & Mrs. T.B. Boyd III & Family Feature Gallery at the National Museum of African American Music Join the National Museum of African American Music for the opening of The Redemption of a Delta Bluesman: Robert Johnson, a powerful exhibition exploring the life, legacy, and untold story of blues legend Robert Johnson. Through 29 works of art, the exhibition looks beyond the famous Crossroads legend to honor Johnson’s lived experiences, musical contributions, and journey through the Mississippi Delta during a pivotal time in American history. Presented in collaboration with Memphis-based artist, Andre LeMoyne Miller, this exhibition marks Gallery Albertine’s first partnership with NMAAM and celebrates the importance of preserving Black history through art, music, and storytelling. The opening event will feature a presentation of From Nothing To Something, one of NMAAM’s featured educational programs, followed by an engaging gallery discussion with Andre LeMoyne Miller — exhibit artist, retired educator, and (along with his wife, Sadiyya Miller) owner of Gallery Albertine in Memphis. Join us for a celebration of art, history, and conversation as we revisit the legacy of one of the most influential figures in blues music and explore the stories beyond the legend.
