About

The Museum is hosting free days of fun and historical activities for homeschool families during the Homeschool Day event series, designed to meet the unique needs and structure of homeschool students and their field trips. Participants of all ages will experience the Museum's living history presentations, hands-on learning programs, and Children's Gallery crafts. Homeschool Days will start at 10:00 a.m. with an orientation for the day's activities in our spacious Grand Hall, and each of the educator-led programs will begin at 10:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:00 a.m. No registration is required. With Presidents' Day happening in February, we are going to take a look at the three men from Tennessee that have held that office. Throughout history, presidents have had lasting impacts on the country, so join us as we examine the time periods that Jackson, Polk, and Johnson took over the highest office and their impacts still being felt today. We will be joined by partners from Andrew Jackson's Hermitage and The President James K. Polk Home and Museum.
