About

MATRIX: 50 Years of Experimentation is the first major group exhibition illuminating the five-decade history of BAMPFA’s signature contemporary art series. Through 290 solo projects and counting, MATRIX has served as a critical platform for an intergenerational and interdisciplinary group of artists to make and show new work. MATRIX: 50 Years of Experimentation reflects the breadth and complexity of the contemporary art landscape and proposes a road map for the next fifty years of radical experimentation.
