Scott Mulvahill: A masterful performer who knows few limits with his upright bass and dynamic voice, Scott Mulvahill brings his signature blend of roots and jazz to 3rd & Lindsley. Whether accompanied by some of Nashville’s finest musicians or commanding the stage alone, he is sure to delight and move his audience with his songwriting and one-of-one musicianship. Scott cut his teeth touring internationally for five years with Ricky Skaggs' Kentucky Thunder before launching a solo career marked by hook-heavy songwriting and virtuosic bass work, taking him to NPR's Tiny Desk, Mountain Stage, and collaborations with Cory Wong, Lauren Daigle and H.E.R. He's also an inventor, having designed the DataBass — a custom instrument merging upright bass with MIDI sampling, which he demonstrated in a 2024 TEDxNashville talk. His catalog, including Himalayas (2018) through Survive (2023), centers on honest, narrative-driven songwriting, with the bass and invention always in service of the voice and the message. Song Share: What started as a dinner party with a few friends and old guitars is now an important ritual in my artistic life. Song share was conceived as a chance for me and some fellow artists to play for each other, hear and be heard, gab and commiserate, sing together and bask in each other’s brilliance. It’s also become a workshop where we can bring our new ideas before they’re ready for primetime. Maybe more than anything, it’s just a chance to be together in the middle of our busy and unpredictable careers and lift each other up. The people joining me on the 11th are dear friends that have shaped me in so many ways, and I stand in awe of their talents and generous spirits. Like every song share we’ve had, there aren’t many rules, we’ll just take turns playing tunes and see where it goes! Emmaline: Nashville-based vocalist, violinist and songwriter Emmaline (Emma Campbell) blends smoky, jazz-infused vocals with virtuosic violin, earning acclaim from Rolling Stone and American Songwriter and a spot opening for Chaka Khan on her first U.S. tour. Makena Hartlin: Nicknamed the "Songbird of Nashville" for her soaring melodies and storytelling, Makena Hartlin made a rapid mark on the city, joining the award-winning artist collective Pitch Meeting's house band in early 2021 and helping it win "Best Writers' Night" from the Nashville Scene. Walker Burroughs: Originally from Birmingham, AL Walker is a singer songwriter based in Nashville, TN. Simon Maartensson: My love of music started early in life playing the drums and bass until the guitar took over as my main instrument. Mary Marguerite: Mary Marguerite is a Nashville native, singer-songwriter, and filmmaker. Sam Hunter: Sam Hunter is a native Nashvillian, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and first-call session musician whose credits run from Country to K-Pop.
